The fall Teaching Excellence Seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23 in Gateway Center. The seminar is mandatory for all new teaching assistants and teaching fellows; however, new adjunct faculty, lecturers and tenure-track faculty are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The free seminar features a line-up of presenters who will share best practices in teaching and supportive resources. Topics include using technology in the classroom, discussing controversial issues, managing the classroom and dealing with plagiarism.
Provost Warren Burggren also will address why faculty are essential to UNT's goal to provide a superior student experience.
Lunch and door prizes are included.
