king rates for 2010-11 are unchanged from the 2009-10 academic year:
Parking services will enforce use of 2010-11 permits beginning at 7 a.m. on the first day of classes, Aug. 26, says Scott Kangas, associate director of parking services for Police, Parking and Transport. The 2009-10 permits are valid until the end of day Aug. 31, when the fiscal year ends.
The 2010-2011 permits are the same type as those now in use: thin, transferable, peel and stick permits that should be placed in the lower passenger side corner of the windshield.
The university encourages the use of the shuttle system, car pools, bicycling, walking and other modes of transportation to save money, time wasted in traffic, reduce vehicle emissions and reduce fuel demand.
The parking program operates through permits, fines and fees generated by students, faculty, staff and visitors who choose to park on campus. Major uses of parking funds include:
