Mean Green Pistachio, Black Cherry or Cappuccino Chip - whatever your favorite ice cream, Beth Marie’s probably has it, along with more than 100 homemade flavors.
Dentonites have grown fond of Beth Marie’s checkerboard floors and delicious ice cream. This fairly young eatery won the hearts and mouths of many locals and visitors to the square, and, now has come to the University Union.
The Corner Store snack bar in the University Union has been remodeled and now includes rearranged counter space for a self-service food area, which includes hot dogs and Asian cuisine bowls. The Freshens smoothie stand has been replaced with a Beth Marie’s ice cream area, which was founded in Denton, and was requested and preferred by students.
Beth Marie’s has two other locations in Denton - on the square south of the courthouse and at Unicorn Lake - and both specialize in soups, sandwiches, chili (great for the upcoming winter months) and more than 100 homemade ice cream flavors. Since it opened in 1998, the ice cream parlor has whipped up more than 80 flavors of malts and shakes. Beth Marie’s ice cream also is now available at Central Market in Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Southlake, San Antonio, Houston and Austin.
The popular Boar’s Head deli remains at The Corner Store and serves subs and value meals of sandwich, chips and beverage combinations. Other available food includes prepared sushi, sandwiches and salads.
