 JoAnn Luksich, data management supervisor in the Computing and Information Technology Center, grew up in Denton and loves the family-oriented small-town lifestyle. As a 10-year employee of the university, she also loves UNT. Now, family has given JoAnn another reason to love UNT.  Her daughter, Beth, is a freshman majoring in elementary education.





  1. What is your title and department? 
    Data management supervisor, Computing and Information Technology Center.

  2. How long have you worked at UNT?
    10 Years.

  3. How do you define success? 
    To me, success is keeping focus and making progress toward big goals, but taking time to enjoy the present and the little things along the way.

  4.  What is your favorite expression? 
    “Absolutely!”

  5. How do you spend your free time?
    My free time is spent with family, just getting together for gatherings and activities. I’d say that my hobbies include gardening and home decorating and crafting.

  6. What was your most recent home decorating or craft project:
    Spring wreaths.

  7. What’s your pet peeve? 
    Cell phone rudeness and littering.

  8. What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in Denton since you were a child? 
    Definitely growth and population – some good, some bad…

  9. What is your favorite restaurant in town? 
    Anything Mexican!

  10. Describe your ideal weekend.
    Enjoying time with my family.

  11. Have you gotten to help your daughter with any college assignments yet? 
    Not yet—she’s pretty independent!
