The UNT community will honor the lives of faculty, staff, students and alumni lost during this past year with a Flight Memorial ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at Shrader Pavilion.

All members of the university community are invited to attend. If there is inclement weather, the memorial service will be in the University Union, Silver Eagle Suite.

The names of those remembered will be read aloud by members of the UNT community. Following the reading, the McConnell Tower bell will toll four times in remembrance of those who have passed away.

Deceased students also are honored at the time of death by a lowered UNT flag. Flagpoles were installed in August 2011, above, on the lawn on the south side of Willis Library. The UNT flag flies at half staff for seven days in memory of enrolled students who have passed away.

Fallen Eagles also are honored by the Sustaining Arch memorial on Library Mall.
