Federal holiday extends pay deposits until Jan. 3
Employees who receive their pay via direct deposit may not have funds posted to their account until Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Monday, Jan. 2 is the official payday for all employees, but it is a Federal Reserve holiday and most financial institutions will be closed.
The actual deposit date will vary based on the procedure for each bank.
Payroll checks that are printed will be available to be picked up Jan. 2.
