A Cappella Choir's concert features broad spectrum of styles

At the Feb. 10 concert in Dallas, Jerry McCoy will direct the choir as it performs a wide of variety of songs -- including a motet by Mendelssohn, African American spirituals and "The Yellow Rose of Texas."

Students can make their own books at Saturday Art Gallery Series

At the Feb. 7 event, collage artist and writer Christine Irving will read and discuss a traditional tale, then teach participants how to create their own book from one page of paper. The event is open for students from kindergarten to 12th grade and their families.
