Demolition of parts of Fouts Field begins June 17

Fouts FieldConstruction crews will move on site to begin removing the end zone bleachers and the east concourse of Fouts Field June 17. The west concourse and press box will remain for use during track and field events.

The project is expected to be completed in late August. Once the bleachers and east concourse are cleared, the area will be sodded with turf grass.

The demolition work was included in the original plans for Apogee Stadium and will cost approximately $150,000.

The nine cast stone panels featured on the exterior of the east concourse will be saved and reused in future campus projects. The stone panels represent football, track and field and the eagle mascot.
