Music Library unveils donation by Dallas man's estate

The thousands of items include piano rolls, cylinders and 78 rpm discs -- and, most prominently, a Model B Ampico Knabe Grand reproducing piano. An April 30 reception will include music from the collection played on that piano and vintage phonographs.

Fourth-generation Texas photographer to discuss family's legacy

Byrd Williams IV will talk March 27 at the annual Paul R. Voertman Lecture to benefit Friends of the UNT Libraries. The families' 10,000 prints are part of the UNT Libraries' Special Collections.

The UNT Speaks Out series in February will feature faculty members James C. Mueller and Jonathan Tomhave examining the media's portrayal of Native Americans and filmmaker Lee Mun Wah speaking about diversity on college campus.
