Talon, the university's high performance computing system, to be upgraded

Hooper returns to UNT technology duties

John Hooper, an information technology executive who has served UNT and the UNT System for more than 20 years, will return full time to the role of UNT CIO and Vice Provost for Information Technology beginning Feb. 1.

Eduroam lets faculty, staff and students connect to leading universities

The UNT System has implemented eduroam network access service. The service allows faculty, staff and students to securely access the internet and other universities around the United States and the world with their UNT EUID and password.

Student newspaper's website hacked, may affect personal devices

UNT System Information Security says that anyone who visited the "NT Daily" website from Oct. 25 through Nov. 1 through a non-UNT System network should ensure that their personal computing devices are installed with antivirus software.
