Creative Writing's Rilke award winner to read poems April 9

Paisley Rekdal, associate professor of English at the University of Utah, is the 2013 winner of the $10,000 Rilke Prize sponsored by the Department of English Creative Writing Program. Rekdal will read from her 2012 poetry collection, "Animal Eye."

Creative Writing Department reading features columnist, poet

Lisa Russ Spaar, a professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Virginia, will speak at 7 p.m. March 26 in the Willis Library Forum.

Creative collaboration topic of March 19 presentation

Ann McCutchan, associate professor of English and a professional musician, and Pat Alexander, professor at Maryland Institute College of Art, will discuss the works they’ve created together and the value of working with artists outside one’s discipline.
