Pankaj Jain's book, “Dharma and Ecology of Hindu Communities: Sustenance and Sustainability," examines three communities in India to explain indigenous ecological knowledge systems. Jain is assistant professor of philosophy and religion studies and of anthropology.

Faculty, staff and students will march to five altars on campus to observe the Latin American celebration Day of the Dead, or El Día de los Muertos, Nov. 2. The theme for the observation is Saber es Poder/Knowledge is Power.
