Grant extended to program that increases diversity in physical therapy

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board will recognize Jean Keller, professor of kinsiology, health promotion and recreation studies, for leading the partnership that helps African American and Hispanic males complete physical therapy degrees.

North Star of Texas Writing Project receives $480,000 grant

The program will use the funds from the Texas Education Agency to train South Texas teachers how to incorporate reading and writing into all subjects.

Two education students earn national honors from Kappa Delta Pi

Aston Thompson, a graduate who was an officer for the UNT chapter, was cited for displaying the ideals of the organization. Julie Williams, who is in the doctoral program, earned a scholarship for students in curriculum and instruction.
