Counseling program ranked tops in Texas, 13th in nation

U.S. News and World Report magazine ranked UNT’s counseling program in the College of Education as 13th in the nation, making it top-ranked in Texas. Earlier this year the College of Education was ranked 13th in the nation for Best Online Graduate Education Programs.

President's EDGE celebrates second year, expanded services

The President's EDGE program will host an open house April 24 to thank supporters and celebrate its second year. The program, which prepares employees for the general equivalency diploma exam, has added additional training.

Teach North Texas program reaches fundraising target

The Teach North Texas program has raised enough private support to qualify for a $1 million matching grant from the National Math and Science Initiative. The UNT program allows students to earn bachelor’s degrees in STEM disciplines and teaching certification.

Doctoral graduate wins national award for dissertation

Mary Amanda “Mandy” Stewart earned the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from PDK International for research that examined how Latino and Latina adolescent immigrants are gaining literacy skills outside of school.
