Sewell accepts vice president position at UNO

Kenneth W. Sewell has accepted the position of vice president of research and economic development at the University of New Orleans. He joined UNT’s Office of Research and Economic Development in 2008, after 17 years as a faculty member in the psychology department.

UNT appoints new vice president for research

Thomas J. McCoy will join UNT July 8 as the new vice president for research and economic development. He currently serves as vice president for research, creativity and technology transfer at Montana State University.

UNT chooses Barnes & Noble College for bookstore operations

The bookseller will take over operations Aug. 8 and will be housed near McConnell Hall until 2015 while the new University Union is under construction.

Donor endows business scholarship fund with $1 million

Anne Milner Fields and her great nephew and alumnus Bryan Milner have pledged $1 million to the College of Business to endow scholarships for study abroad. The gift also is a tribute to former finance professor Peyton Foster Roden.

The College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism now includes the global Digital Retailing Research Center. The center will provide research and expertise from faculty and industry to professionals using electronic technology to build customer relationships and sales.
